Rules
PLEASE READ AND SIGN BEFORE POSTING IN CHARACTER!
1) This board is obviously for the series Avatar: The Last Airbender. If you're confused about exactly what that is, sorry, you're kind of on the wrong board.
2)The site is rated PG-13. If you want something more hardcore, then this isn't the place for you.
3) No personal drama in the c-box or off-topic boards. If you have a problem with someone for whatever reason, PM an admin, and we will try to work everything out. No fighting, whining, etc, in the c-box or the off-topic boards. If we see anything like that going on, there will be no more c-box or off-topic boards on the site. Those are supposed to be places for casual, friendly conversations. NO DRAMA!!!!!
4) Out of character conversations belong either in the c-box, in private messages (PM), or the off-topic boards. Please do not clog up the in-character sections with out-of-character stuff! It doesn't belong there!
5) As soon as you register, be sure to post a GOOD, THOROUGH biography about your character and wait until being approved before you start roleplaying!
6) Likenesses: Please have an avatar and/or pictures in your signature for your character. For canon characters, please use pictures of the characters from the show. It keeps everything clear and prevents confusion. For original characters, use what you want, but no one may use the same drawing or whatever as someone else unless your characters are related, like they’re twins or something. Other than that, there are plenty of cool drawings and stuff out there that you can use for your character's likeness, so there’s no reason for several original characters to look the same. If you use your own picture or a celebrity likeness or anything like that, your character won't be accepted unless you change that. No exceptions!
7) Have your display name be your character’s name. For example: username—tophgod, display name—Toph. You get it.
8) Please pay equal attention to all your characters. Let us know if you're not going to be using a character for a while or if you don't want to play him/her anymore, and we'll let everyone know that he/she has opened up. Don't just drop them like yesterday's garbage. There are many cool characters on this show, so they're in demand. Use everyone you play as equally as possible.
9) Do not take on more characters than you can handle. The limit for how many characters you can have is SIX! No exceptions!
10) Godmodding: It’s annoying, it’s rude, no one likes it, don’t do it! (If you don’t know what godmodding is, it’s when you act or speak as someone else’s character.) You play your character(s) let other people play theirs, and everyone’s happy. No goddmodding!
11) If you want to make someone’s family member, fight someone, capture someone, injure someone, kill someone, whatever, PM them and ask for their permission. It keeps everyone happy.
12) Don’t be afraid to be social! Visit the off-topic/OOC boards and tell us a bit about yourself. Also, don’t be afraid to read other’s profiles. They’re there so we can have some info about who we’re roleplaying with. Also, don't be afraid to share your fan creations!
13) Don’t neglect threads! Please finish what you start or let us know if you don't plan on finishing something so no one expects you to. It keeps us happy, it keeps those with whom you are roleplaying happy.
14) Be respectful of everyone! This site is for fun for everyone and we don't want anyone's feelings hurt. If you dislike a character and/or a roleplayer, talk to an admin. We're here to help and to keep the peace around here. If you cause too much drama/wank/butthurt, etc. on here, we will ban your a$$. Don't think we won't.
15) If you have questions about characters or anything else, feel free to PM us, and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
16) Be true to the world. For example, you don't have your cell phone, ipod or laptop in the Avatar-verse. You don't carry your Coach bag to go shopping at the Ba Sing Se Prada boutique. This is an Eastern-influenced fantasy world set hundreds of years ago. It's NOT modern.
17) Absences: If you’re going to be absent, please let us know how long you’ll be gone and when you’ll be back. We’ll miss you!
18) You are allowed to swear, but keep it to a minimum and appropriate for your character(s).
19) No potentially offensive images or any potentially offensive links (porn, racial, anything political for that matter).
20) Violence: You can be violent, but please stay within the rating of the site. Gore and graphics need to be appropriate for a PG-13 site.
21) Sex: You can imply it, but keep the details sketchy. On an ATLA board, you never know the ages of all the players.
22) And of course—HAVE FUN!
23) Please sign below so we know you’ve read, that you understand, and that you will abide by, the rules!
To my wonderful co-admin: If I've missed anything, let me know. And if any of you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to ask. We're nice. We don't bite. LOL
Thanks!
